Remember This

I was watching "Good Things Utah" (the molly version of the view) yesterday and one of the co-hosts was wearing one of these. Apparently they are considered vintage now, that makes me feel a little old. Me and my sisters had these growing up. I remember walking to Pic and Save to get new charms. Even major tomboys loved the plastic charm chains! They really complimented my layered clothes and triangle shaped perm. I love seeing things like this it is so nostalgic! Does anyone else remember these or was it just a Reed trend?

boy I haven't seen one of these for years. I remember any of the charms that had something to do with babies were the most popular. I loved my charm necklace.

I totally forgot about those! Kind of takes you back. I remember loving the baby bottle charm for some reason.

Here's a flashback for Liza and Sarah...Do you remember how the Pic 'n Save shopping center had like a tunnel area w/ shop entrances inside the tunnel? Now that I think back on it, I think that whole shopping area was totally scary and I can't believe mom let us go there by ourselves, let alone dig through their dumpsters!

I had completely forgotten about those! It's too bad that your Mom is the "anti-packrat" or you guys might have some of those fun, vintage treasures to show your kids today! I don't remember ever making you have a triangle perm. You DID have a delightful "pixie" cut, though.

I admit thatI, too, am a little baffled at some of the things I let you guys do by yourselves; ride your bikes to the beach, ride your bikes to the mall, walk to the Foo Wa Warket to buy those long, rainbow popsicles. Well...you had a great time and everyone survived...
